What is lime plaster
and why do you want it
Lime plaster is as old as time -Think 7000 BC.- It has a traditional and historical uses in architecture and is perfect for our time. It’s an adaptable product that allows for a truly unique finish. Made and mixed from crushed limestone, water, pigment and aggregates, plaster is troweled on to create rich, velvety, warm, depth wide array of looks. Endless finishes and colors can be created from ultra-matte to high gloss, from subtle warmth to highly textured, from modern to old European charm.
Lime plaster is permeable, natural, breathable, environment friendly, flexible, absorbs and releases moisture, healthy, long lasting, is also a better thermal insulator and just gives unrivaled beauty to every space,
Transforming walls into works of art
About
me
I started my career as a painter in high end luxury projects in Montreal. When I first saw lime plaster, I was drawn to it‘s beauty and depth. Wanting to learn more I travelled to France where I was trained by a mentor in the techniques of old wall world systems, specifically plaster artisanry.
After returning from my mentorship in France my career got fast tracked when an architectural firm in Quebec connected with me about the Melba House. This house was my first big project and put me on the map as a plaster artisan.
Following the Melba house I continued to pick up projects in Quebec and Big Sky Montana refining my plaster skills as well as running mentoring workshops in Montreal.
In the summer of 2023 I moved to Fernie BC with the goal of continuing my plaster work and bringing my unique skill set and artisanry to the magnificent Kootenay area.

big sky, montana
I worked with Jeremy Mistretta and his team to perfect my skills. New Age Artisan is a plastering company based in Bozeman, Montana that has grown slowly since 2004 and has now expanded into employing some of the best plaster artisans in the world.
Melba House
Timeless architecture
Melba house has been my most important project to date, a turning point in my career.
It's a passive house showcasing expertise in sustainable design with a LEED certification.
I was challenged by the logistics of the house, working on a large scale project of 17 000 sq. ft. with many moving parts, a 7 month time frame and a specific budget to respect.
jumi house
The Jumi House was my first solo project and opened the door to many more.
It was interesting to work on such a complex project where the standard was perfection.
I used lime wash custom colour for all the ceilings and applied marmorino plaster custom colour on the walls.
